Abstract

People who live with HIV/AIDS experience stigmatization, abhorrence, and hatred from people who once loved them. The victims of HIV/AIDS also feel insecure, helpless and depressed. Those who find themselves in the condition connected in the aforesaid phenomena and do not think of religious issue die in isolation while others with hope recuperate and live a positive life. Through dialectical examination of some written works on HIV/AIDS it is observed that people living with HIV/AIDS who consider religion as a viable antidote and efficacious therapy would live a positive and meaningful life. Viewed from the aforementioned position and phenomenological method, this paper examines hope as a panacea to victims of HIV/AIDS. The paper concluded that hope can be used as therapeutic advance for HIV/AIDS victims in Nigeria.
