Abstract

Acute appendicitis is the most prevalent non-obstetric surgical emergency in pregnant women. The diagnosis gets more challenging when the anatomical location of the appendix shifts due to the expansion of the gravid uterus. In cases of appendicular perforation, there is a higher risk of feto-maternal morbidity and mortality, so prompt and accurate diagnosis and treatment are essential. The goal of this study is to look into the clinical signs and symptoms of acute appendicitis in pregnancy, as well as how to treat it.
