Progress in the Application of Neuropsychological Scales in the Treatment of Schizophrenia

Approximately 85% of patients with schizophrenia suffer from persistent and severe cognitive impairment, especially in terms of attention, verbal memory, and executive function. A comprehensive and accurate understanding of the targets and severity of cognitive impairment is the key to implementing precise treatment and prevention. However, assessing cognitive function and treating cognitive disorders in patients with schizophrenia is a challenging task. In recent years, with the deepening of research, methods for evaluating cognitive function have also rapidly developed. However, the different methods of assessing cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia have also led to inconsistent understanding and evaluation of them. This article reviews several common neuropsychological scales for evaluating cognitive function by searching domestic and foreign literature, providing referenceopinions for better understanding and evaluating cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia.
